Dr. Frank Liu is the Director of China Program Office in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at the University of Minnesota. His other work experiences in CVM include 8 years in the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and 1 year in the Center for Animal Health and Food Safety. Dr. Liu had 5 years of postdoctoral research experience at the University of Minnesota and published about40 peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, book chapters, and edited books. From2004-2006, he co-founded and was the CEO of a biotechnology start-up. From 1998-2001, he worked asthe Head of Agriculture Division and Regional Project Coordinator in a UNCTD-affiliated international organization in Southeast Asia. Dr. Liu has been actively participated swine-related education and outreach activities and served as consultant for pig producers in China. Working with his colleagues, he is responsible in organizing the Leman China Swine Conference and China Dairy Conference.
